Technical Engineer

Summary:

The SAP Interface Monitoring Specialist will be responsible to monitor the files exchange between Ecolab SAP environment and the TMS (Transportation Management System) applications. This role is critical to Ecolab Transportation activities and support operation. This role is accountable and central to ensuring integrity of financial transaction (accrual and payment messages between the systems).

Job responsibilities:

Utilize monitoring tools in SAP and TMS to ensure all transactions are accounted for and brought to the completion stage

Ensure shipping confirmation, accrual of freight invoices and payment of invoices activities are performed daily

Resolve issues in a timely manner to avoid disruption

Maintain training documentation

Partner with other functions (Trans Planning, Trans Admin) to address recurring or new issues and bring corrective actions to eliminate problems

Manually process exceptions and keep track of one off scenarios

Escalate when appropriate to leadership to resolve systemic issues

Skills:

The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, great attention to detail, works well independently and has prior experience with SAP.

Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and any other related software.
