Role Profile

Title:-  SQA Engineer

Core Purpose

 Responsible for delivering all aspects of the Supplier Operations Quality Assurance function on an on-going basis in line with the Quality Management System and Quality Policy to ensure that the business’ products and services are fit for purpose and meet customer expectations.

Responsible for ensuring that suppliers continue to develop and implement best practice that emphasise defect prevention, reduction in variation and waste and provide for continuous improvements and continue to meet quality standards required to minimise quality costs and maximise customer satisfaction whilst ensuring that procedures and processes are adhered to.

Core Accountabilities

Support  ISO 9001 , IMS, GMP compliance and other standards as applicable Drive “Zero Defect” mentality within the supply base Drive quality improvements based on data insights

  • Implement SHE standards and raise issues to SHE Manager when needed
  • Ensure the safety, health and environment compliance of personnel completing the site quality procedures


  • ​Approval and monitoring of contract suppliers (3rd party)
  • Work with Procurement to ensure supplier performance is regularly reported and that appropriate and timely corrective
  • actions are implemented
  • Establish specific short / long term supplier quality goals
  • Develop long‐term supplier relationships and generate and implement cost reduction ideas
  • Aide Manufacturing in the evaluation and qualification of new supplier materials following a defined new product development process


  • Strategically lead supplier performance improvement projects in an effort to increase the supplier capability of consistently meeting Ecolab requirements.
  • ​Support effective management of Quality budget


  • Role model behavioural standards for team as defined in 5E leadership model

Core Activities

  • Monitor, communicate and improve key supply chain KPI’s, including Supplier non-conformances and QMS related metrics
  • Maintain and update critical supplier audit system and schedule
  • Conduct supplier audits to drive process standardization, waste elimination, and continuous improvement
  • Champion problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers and customers to eliminate recurrence of non-conformances
  • Work to resolve supplier technical issues in a timely manner to ensure continuity of supply
  • Maintain and update approved supplier list to ensure compliance with QMS requirements

  • Very Commercially aware
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, work well with diverse groups of people and be able to function independently of direct supervision

Experience Required

  • Experience of working in Quality Assurance role within an ISO management system
  • External Audit experience, preferably to 9001:2015 and 14001:2015 standard
  • Experience of dealing with customers and suppliers
  • Knowledge of various quality system methodologies 8D, Lean, 5 Why’s, Pareto Analysis, Six Sigma, 8-D, DFMEA, PFEMA, PPAP, etc. preferred
  • Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing and the ability to travel abroad
