What You Will Do:

  • Achieves annual sales targets by working with the District Manager and cross functional teams to establish selling strategy and tactics.
  • Analyzes customer needs, requirements, and strategic plans recommending solutions with Company programs. Keeps management informed through regular activity reports and communications.
  • Services assigned accounts, recommends changes in treatment program perimeters. Proactively identify and mitigate potential challenges.
  • Develops and maintains a sales pyramid and other required reports or documentation.
  • Customer Relationship Management. The Account Manager is expected to build relationships starting at the site/operational level all the way to the C and V suits.
  • Ability to guide and lead sales and service teams within the regional organization into creating value with the customer
  • Build a culture of partnership based on win-win outcome at the various customer levels
  • Negotiate framework agreements (including pricing and incentives)
  • Complete strategic analysis for the account including SWOT and competitor analysis
  • Complete the long-term (3 year) and short-term (1 year) plan (Plan Package) including detailing the activities at all relevant levels
  • Facilitate the implementation of Good Sales and Service Practice in the team.
  • Develop relationships and effectively communicate value delivered by Nalco Water with client’s executive leadership for operations, process technology, and environmental stewardship.
  • Supports and is committed to Nalco’s Quality Improvement Process and the guiding principles of Responsible Care®, and its six Codes of Management Practice.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in science or Engineering is required
  • Demonstrated power and desalination process management experience
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Experience of retaining and developing Key Accounts
  • 7+ years of experience and understanding of the Regional Power and Desalination market and the ability to deliver the Nalco value story to the customer.
  • Proactive and forward thinking.
  • Autonomous self starter with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluency in English, Arabic is desirable
