Job Description:
The Senior International Tax Accountant will report to the International Tax Senior Manager in Corporate Headquarters in St. Paul. This position will be about 70% income tax compliance and 30% project and planning work. The individual in this role must have the ability to work and communicate closely with individuals within the tax department and without, specifically with company controllers, regional controllers, corporate accounting, legal and the treasury departments. The ideal candidate will have strong US tax technical skills with a focus on international, as well as, having well developed interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively as part of a team, and possess a strong attention to detail.
Main Responsibilities:
- Preparation or review of US reporting documents for international operations including, Forms 5471, 8865, 8858, and 1120 (proforma)
- Support for restructuring and tax minimization projects and acquisitions
- Assisting with the Foreign Tax Credit and AMT Foreign Tax Credit calculation/Form 1118, including identification of foreign source income and calculation of expense allocations
- Preparation of responses to information document requests for US IRS income tax audits
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting
- 3+ Years tax experience
- Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred Qualifications::
:
- CPA, MBT, and/or JD
- International Tax experience
- Experience in a Big 4 firm and a corporate environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with multiple levels of management
