Join Ecolab as a Process Engineer where your main focus will be to support and improve current plant processes with safety, quality and process improvement projects. As our Process Engineer you will be involved in the development, design, and start-up of capital projects. Location Information: The Process Engineer will work at our chemical manufacturing plant at 18383 E. Railroad Street in City of Industry, CA.

Main Responsibilities

  • Upgrade process design by investigating proposed changes in plant operations. Establish projects by screening alternatives to select an optimum solution. Prepare project basis documentation by completing cost and economic return studies.
  • Initiate projects by preparing capital appropriation request. Lead the execution of capital projects.
  • Prepare process designs by studying capability and reliability; estimating maintenance, operating, and energy costs; assessing safety and environmental compliance; specifying start-up and operating procedures.
  • Establish and maintain process metrics and take corrective actions for process deviations. Lead incremental process improvement initiatives to optimize existing processes. Prepare operators by conducting training. Provide the technical leadership to ensure application of Lean techniques.
  • Leads plant process safety management initiatives and waste reduction/elimination initiatives. Play an active role in the initial plant roll-out of TPM.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of engineering experience in a chemical, food, or related manufacturing environment
  • No immigration sponsorship available for this position


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering
  • 2+ years of project management experience
  • Experience managing projects $1MM+
  • Experience managing contractors
  • Automated packaging line experience
  • World Class manufacturing and TPM experience
